Modelled on a sword believed to be the weapon of Albert II of Austria, this one-and-a-half-handed sword – the half-handed sword – perfectly embodies the balance and beauty of medieval swords. Its design, dating back to the early 15th century, is classically simple, with a flattened, diamond-shaped blade and a cross-shaped hilt. The Habsburg coat of arms is engraved on the pommel, and the Passau wolf emblem adorns the hollow. The handle and scabbard are made of leather-covered cord.
