Delight in the Hunting Sword
Hunting sword
The hunting sword (English hunting sword or hanger ) is a historical weapon with a short blade (rarely longer than 65 cm), found in Europe and in North and South America. It was very popular in the 16th and 17th centuries. Regardless of the dictates of the fashion of the time, this popularity is due to the fact that this sword was extremely handy and effective, making it the perfect companion, whether on foot, on horseback, or on the deck of a crowded ship.
Like most original pieces, this is a very elegant version of Cold Steels®. The satin-finished blade is folded several times and has a sharpened edge. The elaborately hand-carved Malaysian sal wood handle is adorned with nickel silver pins.
Visually, the sturdy black leather scabbard harmonizes beautifully with the sword. The mouthpiece and bezel are made of nickel silver and adorned with decorative relief.
Carbon steel 1055
The carbon content and relatively low levels of other materials in this steel make it a very stable material, free from the brittleness inherent in most high-carbon steels. This steel is ideal for blades that require high impact resistance and is therefore often used for large fixed knives, machetes, and swords.
