Gift Toto Knight's Sword with Scabbard, 13th/14th Century.

Toto knight's sword with scabbard, 13th / 14th century
This beautiful knight's sword is a replica of a medieval sword found in a peat bog in northern Italy. The original, dating from the 13th/14th century, is now in the collection of the Royal Armouries, the British Museum of Arms and Armor in Leeds.
The sword has a wide, double-edged blade with grooves running approximately two-thirds of its length. The cutting edges are unsharpened. The blade is engraved on both sides with an engraved seal bearing the repeated inscription "toto," a symbol of fidelity and loyalty. The wooden handle is wrapped in brown leather, and the pommel and guard, which curves slightly toward the blade, are made of steel. The shape of the so-called rain leather or cross leather attached to the cross guard forms a kind of cover over the scabbard opening and thus offers additional protection when the sword is in the hand.
The sword comes with a brown wooden/leather sheath.
This medieval sword is designed as a collector's item or decorative object. It's also ideal as an accessory, for example, to complete your costume.
