Feast on Baldur's Sword, Windlass

Baldur's Sword, Windlass
In the pantheon of Norse gods, Baldur was the son of Odin and Frigg (i.e., brother of Thor and Loki) and as such was destined to rule after Odin. Beloved by all the gods except Loki, Baldur is known for bringing joy to all who associate with him. In Old Norse poetry, Baldur's death is described as a tragedy and a harbinger of Ragnarök.
In honor of the lesser-known brothers, this classic Viking sword was designed as a tribute to the most beautiful member of Asgard. The leather handle of this sword is laser-engraved with the three runes that Windlass believes best fit the Norse god. Some scholars believe the name Baldur means bold, which is why the courage rune was added. In her attempt to protect Baldur from harm, Frigg asked all things to swear never to harm him (except the mistletoe), so the protection rune was also added. Finally, Baldur was also known for always being prepared for battle, so the strength rune completes the arrangement.
The blade is engraved with runes, which can be roughly translated as the spelling of Baldur. The leather sheath (with integrated belt) is covered with a black suede cape, which is decorated with a headstall and a high-quality leather mouthpiece. The mouthpiece and hood feature a Viking symbol for the sun, as Baldur was known as a radiant light to all who knew him.
Includes matching wooden case with suede cover.
Manufactured by windlass steelcrafts.
This sword is designed as a collector's item or decorative object and is also ideal as an accessory, for example to complete your costume.
