Crusader sword with scabbard, octagonal pommel, 13th century



Replica of a medieval one-handed sword used by crusaders of various orders during the Crusades. The octagonal pommel makes this sword stand out from the more common swords with round discs.



This sword is exclusively hand-made. The elegant crossguard and octagonal pommel are made of iron. The hardened spring steel blade reaches up to the pommel and is riveted there by hand. The handle is wrapped with a leather strap. The blade has a pronounced groove, which gives the sword great elasticity and at the same time lightness. The edge of the blade is not sharpened.



The sword is delivered with a very nice wooden leather scabbard with a wooden holder as a belt loop (for belts with a maximum width of 5 cm). The scabbard also has a steel plate.



This is the standard version of the cross sword with octagonal pommel. The same sword is also available in a combat-ready version with a blunt blade and rounded tip: art. 0116695506.
