Swords of this type were used primarily by cavalry and navy personnel in 18th century Europe.

This replica of a European short sword has an en45 spring steel blade, which is unsharpened.
The guard element and the handle with the corresponding hand guard were made of brass.

The sword's scabbard is made of wood covered in leather, with brass fittings. On the muzzle there is a hook with which the scabbard can be attached to the belt.
