In the High Middle Ages, Viking swords began to lose some of their characteristic features, such as the broad, slowly tapering blade and tricorne pommel, and began to look more and more like the longswords of the Middle Ages.

This faithful replica replaces the Brazil nut-shaped tricorn pommel and the short, thick guard element. The earlier swords are adapted to the slimmer, elongated, classic medieval cross shape. The blade is continuous up to the pommel, where it is hand-riveted. The handle is wrapped with a leather strap. The blade is forged from high-quality spring steel and tempered to approx. 48 HRC. It has a pronounced groove, which gives the sword great elasticity and at the same time lightness. The tip of the blade and the cutting edges are blunt and rounded. The sword is delivered with a very nice wooden leather scabbard with a wooden holder as a belt loop (for belts with a maximum width of 5 cm). The scabbard has a richly decorated brass chapel.
