Gift Scottish Claymore Sword, Antique Finish
Scottish claymore sword, antique finish
The claymore was the mainstay of Highland warriors in the 15th and 16th centuries. It has a unique handle that clearly distinguishes this sword from other weapons commonly used during this period. With this versatile one-and-a-half-handed sword, sweeping blows can be performed as effectively as powerful thrusts. Faithfully recreated from a museum piece, the sword has a classic design. The wide crossguard is designed in a square shape, the extensions of which end in striking quatrefoil ornamentation on the sides and continue with the fuller part of the blade in the middle. The leather-wrapped handle ends in a spherical pommel. The sword was carried on the back in a handle and can therefore be easily complemented with a back scabbard (e.g., item number 0101050600). This version has been given an antique finish.
The same sword is also available in a "normal" version (item number hn-sh2060).
