Claymore sword
The claymore is a two-handed sword common in Scotland in the 16th and 17th centuries. There are several names and spellings for this sword, most of which come from Gaelic: claidhem-more, claidhmhichean-mora, glaymore, claidheamh mòr and it simply means big sword . It is a longsword with a double-edged blade and a broad, often V-shaped, crossguard with circular decorations at the ends. Earlier claymore swords often had a long, leather-wrapped ricasso.
The blade of this two-handed sword is hand forged from carbon steel. Wooden handle with leather covering. The blade is not sharpened.
