Delight in the Civil Sword, 18th Century, with Sheath.
Civil sword, 18th century, with scabbard
During the Baroque period, this civilian weapon was developed and became known as the sword . From the mid-17th century, it gradually replaced the rapier because lighter, less bulky weapons like the rapier were needed. This was due to the increasing population and the resulting lack of space at the time. The sword was usually wielded by members of the upper class of society.
This replica of the civilian sword has a blade made of EN45 spring steel with a triangular cross-section, which is unsharpened. The guard and curved fore-end are made of brass, with a wooden handle wrapped in brass wire.
The sword scabbard is made of wood covered in leather, with brass fittings and support rings, as well as a hook to attach the sword scabbard to a belt.
Special Features:
- Light Civil Sword
- Leather sword sheath with brass fittings
Details:
- Blade material: EN45 spring steel
