Gives away Bastard Sword with Scabbard, for Show Combat, Category-B
Bastard sword with scabbard, for show combat, Category-B
A bastard sword refers to swords from the late Middle Ages and the Renaissance whose length exceeds that of a one-handed sword. Most often, they are one-and-a-half- handed swords, i.e., one-and-a-half-handed swords.
This battle-ready reconstruction is entirely handmade. The guard and pommel, both straight and twisted, are made of forged and heat-treated cast iron. The spring steel blade, oil-tempered to approximately 48–50 HRC, extends to the pommel and is screwed on. The handle is wrapped with a leather strap. The blade has a pronounced groove that extends almost halfway along the blade, giving the sword greater elasticity and lightness at the same time. The tip of the blade and the cutting edges are blunt and rounded.
The sword comes with a leather covered wooden scabbard that has a simple muzzle and mounting plates.
This is the battle-ready version of this one-and-a-half-handed sword.
The same sword is also available in a normal version: item no. 0116340218.
