Gift Bastard Sword With Sheath, For Show Combat, Sk-b
Bastard sword with scabbard, for show combat, sk-b
A bastard sword refers to late medieval and Renaissance swords whose length exceeds that of a one-handed sword. Most often they are one-and-a-half-handed swords i.e. swords with one and a half hands.
This battle-ready reconstruction is entirely hand-made. The straight and twisted guard and pommel are made of forged and heat-treated cast iron. The spring steel blade, oil-hardened to approx. 48-50 HRC, runs up to the pommel and is screwed on there. The handle is wrapped with a leather strap. The blade has a pronounced groove that extends almost halfway up the blade and gives the sword extra elasticity and at the same time lightness. The tip of the blade and the cutting edges are blunt and rounded.
The sword comes with a leather covered wooden scabbard that has a simple muzzle and placement plates.
This is the battle ready version of this one and a half handed sword.
The same sword is also available in a regular version: item no. 0116340218.
