Paul Chen swords are made similarly to how they were made centuries ago, only with much higher-quality carbon steel. To more closely resemble what a medieval blacksmith might have made in his day, the blades are not highly polished. The wooden handles are wrapped in leather, and the fittings are either steel or brass. The original charm of these swords will certainly appeal to the reenactor looking for a faithful example. This version of a 16th-century sword is affordable and versatile. This one-and-a-half-handed sword is perfectly balanced and therefore equally suitable for one- or two-handed use.
