Paul Chen swords are made in a similar way to how they were made centuries ago, only from much higher quality carbon steel. To more closely resemble what a medieval blacksmith might have made in his day, the blades are not highly polished. The wooden handles are wrapped in leather and the fittings are either steel or brass. The original charm of these swords will certainly appeal to the reenactor looking for a faithful model. This version of a 16th century sword is both affordable and versatile. This one and a half handed sword is perfectly balanced and therefore equally suited for one or two handed use.
