This round shield is painted with motifs from Norse mythology.

The wolves Mánagarm (literally translated = the moon dogs ) and Sköll (= trug ) are the sons of the wolf Fenris. Mánagarm is the destroyer of the moon. He feeds on the flesh of the dead and in Ragnarök he stains the seat of the gods with blood when he devours the sun and the moon with his brother Sköll. The shield represents the hunting of the moon and the sun by the wolves.

This large Viking shield is made of approximately 13mm thick plywood and covered with canvas. The customer must fix the steel protection cap using the supplied screws.
