The monstrous undead with a hammer the size of your head has you in its sights, and you find yourself without an ally. Your usual tactic is to avoid battle and choose your fights strategically. There's no time now.

You duck under the first blow, keeping your shield between the hammer and your soft body. You're faster than the rotting monstrosity, but in your desperation you stumble and roll. Again the hammer falls, and you raise your shield to catch the force. Your small shield holds, buying time while your friends finally come to your aid.

DETAILS

Epic Armoury's Buckler is a versatile round latex shield, inspired by skilled swordsmen throughout history. This 16" shield features a neutral design befitting many character types, sculpted and painted to resemble studded leather beneath a round shield in the center.

Use this Bucker right- or left-handed, with the split-leather-wrapped grip hidden behind the shield's protrusion. The 5.5-inch handle is secured with hard EVA foam for a solid, reliable grip that's built to last. Feel confident that this latex shield will withstand the constant abuse of LARP with regular latex maintenance.

• Originally developed for Bucellarii, personal armies of wealthy landowners in the late Roman Empire
• Particularly popular among lightweight fighters during the Renaissance and Baroque eras
