The Epic Armoury Waanaz Ork Shield is a rustic latex shield designed to be part of the Orc collection. This shield is hand-painted and shaped to resemble wooden planks held together with heavy rope and bolts, giving it the rough look expected of Orcish products. Square in shape, it measures 80 cm in width and height.

Use this left-handed Ork Waanaz shield with two leather arm straps on the back, secured with hard EVA foam for a reliable, solid grip that's built to last. Feel confident that this latex shield will withstand the constant abuse of LARP with regular latex maintenance.

INSPIRATION

• The earliest references to orcs are found in Old English and Anglo-Saxon sources, such as Beowulf , and in 16th-century Italian folk tales.
• The word itself comes from the Latin word Orcus , which was the name given to the Roman deity of the dead
• JRR Tolkien's 20th-century Lord of the Rings series depicts orcs as brutal, aggressive beings with a taste for human flesh.
• Tolkien's writings influenced many role-playing games and are now seen in games such as Dungeons & Dragons , Warhammer and Warcraft.
