The Epic Armory Orc Buckler is a small latex LARP shield worn around the wearer’s arm, inspired by the brutal, cataclysmic ways of orcs and other terrifying creatures. Wear it to protect against blows, or simply use it as a means to quickly clear your path of any pesky goblin-esque obstacles. The crude shield is elongated with rounded corners; tough and worn by dents and scratches, it sports a collection of riveted gold details on the front. Featuring two sturdy bands with adjustable buckles to hold your arm securely against the underside, rest assured that this hard latex and EVA foam shield will withstand the continuous abuse of a LARP with regular maintenance.

The shield pairs well with Epic Armoury's Ruinous range of products, such as the Orc Cleaver. INSPIRATION

• The earliest references to orcs are found in Anglo-Saxon and Old English sources, such as Beowulf, and in 16th-century Italian folk tales.
• The word itself comes from the Latin word Orcus, which was the name given to the Roman deity of the dead
• JRR Tolkien's 20th-century Lord of the Rings series describes orcs as brutal, aggressive beings with a taste for human flesh.
