DETAILS

The Krom Shield by Epic Armoury is a 95cm round latex shield inspired by the Vikings and Saxons of the early 10th century. Featuring a wood grain texture and a wood and iron paint finish, this shield is sure to impress your fellow warriors on the battlefield alongside a Viking axe. Its slightly convex shape and iron protrusion on the front are sure to give you an edge in combat. Its laser-cut details create a realistic iron brace along the wood grain textured shield, giving it a stunning aesthetic appearance.

HISTORY

• Sometimes an iron rim was used as a way to reinforce the shield.
• He used the Shield Boss (the round, convex piece of material in the center of the shield) to deflect blows.
• The round wooden style was predominantly used in the European High Middle Ages, using lightweight, splinter-free wood such as linden, spruce, alder, or poplar.
