The Epic Armory Ironshood Shield is a round latex shield inspired by the Vikings and Saxons of the early 10th century. Featuring a wood grain texture and a wood and iron paint finish, this shield is sure to impress your fellow warriors on the battlefield. Featuring a reliable and comfortable grip, feel confident that this latex and hard EVA foam shield will withstand the continuous abuse of a LARP with regular latex maintenance. HISTORY

• The roundwood style was predominantly used in the European High Middle Ages using lightweight, non-splintering wood such as linden, spruce, alder or poplar.
• Sometimes an iron rim was used as a way to reinforce the shield.
