This soldier shield from the Battlecry collection is a replica of the useful small shield used during the Middle Ages. It was used in hand-to-hand combat during the Renaissance. Its size made it relatively ineffective against ranged weapons such as arrows and spears, but useful for deflecting the blow of an opponent’s weapon or hindering their movement.

It is specifically designed for use and made from 1065 high carbon steel, which has a battle-hardened dark finish and has been hardened to a low level of 50 HRC. This fist shield has undergone rigorous testing. Handcrafted production by experienced master blacksmiths makes this line unique.

Includes a certificate of authenticity signed by each blacksmith who has touched your sign at every step of the forging process.
