DETAILS

The Epic Armoury Gobbo Shield is a flat, lightweight latex shield with wood and steel details. The shield is shaped like a waning crescent moon and features a hand-painted steel border, shield boss, and Maltese cross. Detailed brass studs secure the metal to a wooden base, textured and painted to resemble realistic wood grain.

With a reliable and comfortable grip, feel confident that this latex and hard EVA foam shield will withstand the constant abuse of a LARP with regular latex maintenance. Defend yourself against your enemies and make this Gobbo Shield part of your epic fighting style.

HISTORY

• The roundwood style was predominantly used in the European High Middle Ages with lightweight, non-splintering wood such as linden, spruce, alder, or poplar.
• Sometimes an iron rim was used as a way to reinforce the shield.
