These cotton canvas calves are made from one piece and are smooth. The edges are finished with a flat seam, so there are no seams to press. The wraps are closed with a cotton band. It is a pair.



Calf bandages (also known as leg wraps or leggings ) were an integral part of Germanic dress. They were wrapped over the trousers from the foot to below the knee and served as a substitute for socks. They not only kept you warm, but also protected your legs from injury. They were used by both men and women. Numerous fragments of calf bandages were found at Haithabu .
