The Lord of the Rings - Hadhafang, Arwen's Sword

Officially licensed Lord of the Rings movie replica from United Cutlery

Arwen's sword is called Hadhafang , which means something like Horde-blade . It once belonged to the Elven princess Idril, who married a mortal and gave birth to Eärendil. Eärendil was the father of Elrond and the grandfather of Arwen. At the end of the Second Age of Middle-earth, before Arwen's birth, Elrond led Hadhafang against Sauron in the Great Battle of the Last Alliance of Elves and Men . Later, his daughter Arwen used this mighty sword when she helped Frodo escape from the Nazgûl . On the blade is the following runic inscription in the Elvish language Sindarin: aen estar hadhafang i hen chathol, thand arod dan i thang an i Arwen , which roughly means: This sword is called Hadhafang, a noble sword against a cruel foe for a noble lady . The inscription contains an intentional pun, as the Sindarin word for noble lady is Arwen . The sword itself is therefore described as belonging to Arwen, even though it was originally forged for Idril, Arwen's great-grandmother.

This authentic and detailed collectible is an officially licensed replica of the movie prop from the Lord of the Rings film trilogy. United Cutlery, an industry leader in the production of movie reproductions, has meticulously recreated the original sword using the highest quality materials. Accurately reproducing every detail was a top priority.

The wooden handle of this beautiful sword is decorated with elven tendril motifs and fitted with a solid metal pommel. The razor-sharp, rune-inscribed blade is made of hardened 420 stainless steel. A wooden display case with a silkscreened design and a certificate of authenticity are included.
