The Hobbit - Glamdring, the sword of Gandalf the Grey
Officially licensed replica of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey from the movie, by United Cutlery
In the Third Age of Middle-earth, the ancient and mighty wizard Gandalf and his company of dwarves stumbled upon a troll-cave in Rhûdaur. There they found two old Elven-swords and a knife. Although the exact history of these swords is uncertain, when Master Elrond examined them in Rivendell, he was able to determine that they were ancient and well-known Elven-swords that had slain many Orcs in the Orc-wars of the First Age of Middle-earth.
The sword called Glamdring was forged by the High Elves of the West in the Hidden City of Gondolin. Glamdring disappeared, and Gandalf and his companions found it thousands of years later. Gandalf claimed the sword for himself and carried it on the journey to Erebor. He wielded it in battle against the Orcs and Goblins of the Misty Mountains and later on the Fellowship's journey to Mordor to destroy the One Ring. This great sword remained at Gandalf's side until his last day in Middle-earth.
