Sting, the magical short sword, comes from the legendary city of Gondolin. Frodo's uncle Bilbo Baggins found the sword during a journey to the troll caves of Rhudaur and saved his life in the fight against giant spiders in the Mirkwood. Sixty years later, Bilbo passed the short sword on to his nephew Frodo Baggins. The blade of the sword glows blue when Orcs are nearby. The blade and hilt are engraved with Tengwar Elvish runes that read in Sindarin, the language of the Grey-elves:

This authentic and detailed replica is a reproduction of the prop from the film The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey , created by Weta Workshop in New Zealand. United Cutlery, an industry leader in producing movie reproductions, has meticulously recreated this sheath using the highest quality materials. Accurately reproducing every detail was the top priority.



The stabbing sword's scabbard is covered in leather and has elven decorative trim made of solid metal.
