Mirkwood is located in the north of Middle-earth, east of the River Anduin. It was once known as the Great Greenwood , but after the War of the Last Alliance, in which Sauron lost the One Ring, its spirit took up residence in the fortress of Dol Guldur, located in the southern part of the forest. From then on, the forest was no longer safe and was simply called Mirkwood. In the northern part of the forest lies the kingdom of the Silvans, commonly known as the Wood Elves, to which Thranduil and his son Legolas belong.

The Mirkwood Infantry are forest guard soldiers sworn to watch over the great Mirkwood, Thranduil's realm. These mortal warriors are skilled in a variety of weapons, including the bow and sword.

The Blackwood Infantry Sword is an elegant and lethal sword with an Elvish design. It consists of a two-handed handle and an Elvish blade forged from Silvan steel, which has been artfully decorated with flowing Elvish motifs.

This United Cutlery replica is a beautiful collectible. The sword features a composite handle with bronze-look cast metal elements and a stainless steel blade with cast metal trim.

The scope of delivery includes a wooden wall display (including mounting materials and assembly instructions) with a graphic forest elf motif, as well as a certificate of authenticity.
