The urnes style
... It is the last of the six known styles of the Viking Age, which lasted until the beginning of the 12th century. Urnes replaced the Ringerike style in the mid-11th century. Filigree and depictions of intertwined animals characterized the Urnes style . This style is named after a small Norwegian town on the Lustrafjord.
