Your leather journal is safely tucked away in your backpack, and if something important happens, you'll be able to write it down. Personally, you're hoping to face a dragon, but only a small one. Maybe a kobold, for starters.
DETAILS
The Epic Armory Leather Journal is a small book with approximately 200 blank pages. Whenever you need to jot down information or record data, do so while maintaining character. The paper is heavy and textured, bundled in 16- to 24-page bundles tied at the spine with a thin leather cord.
The cover is made of premium, stamped leather that protects the pages inside. It closes with a short leather strap with a brass buckle. Use this journal as the beginning of a secret tome filled with mysterious or infernal scribbles, a treatise, or simply as a personal in-game diary.

Maintenance
Natural leather products are very durable, but they require regular maintenance with leather care products to maintain suppleness and extend their lifespan. Make sure your leather products stay dry when stored. Let wet leather dry naturally before treating it. If it frequently gets wet and dries, increase the frequency of maintenance.
Cleaning
Clean by removing dirt with a stiff brush, then gently rub leather soap with a clean, damp cloth until the leather looks clean. Remove the soap with a separate damp cloth to clean any soap residue, and then use a dry cloth to wipe away any remaining water from the leather.
Conditioning
You should always condition leather after cleaning it, as the soap will have removed some of its natural oils. Treat the leather with mink oil, olive oil, or beeswax using a clean cloth, gently rubbing a small amount of oil or wax into the leather in circles. Allow the leather to soak in the oil before wiping it with a final clean cloth to remove excess residue.
