Treat yourself to a Swiss Dagger, 15th Century.
Swiss Dagger, Baselard
Originally developed as a dagger, the blade of the Swiss dagger or Swiss sword lengthened from about 40 to about 70 cm during the 15th century. This weapon was used in various versions from the 13th to the 17th century. The Swiss Army knife's proverbial fame is due to this comparatively simple dagger.
Common to all versions and characteristic of the Swiss dagger are the sickle-shaped guard and pommel.
Our Hanwei replica is based on a 15th-century model and features a single-edged, tapered blade made of 5160 carbon steel with a riveted tang. The distinctive wooden handle is surrounded by an engraved guard and a steel pommel plate. A handsome leather-wrapped sheath with a belt loop completes this beautiful piece.
