Cold Steels® Large Parry Dagger, which can historically be assigned to the period between the 15th and 17th centuries, is a valuable piece of jewellery that would deserve to be passed down from generation to generation.



It is equally suited for attack and defense – its long, powerful and broad blade is strong enough to withstand the largest of swords, yet can still easily penetrate heavy textiles, leather and even chainmail or light plate armour. The extremely robust, strongly downward-curved guard and the generously designed guard ring offer the hand and forearm great protection against enemy attacks with swords and daggers. They also serve as excellent sword catchers to catch and hold enemy swords. This dagger is extremely agile and can be used effortlessly in any direction. It is fitted with an elegant wire-wrapped handle and ends with a strong steel pommel, which is also an effective striking weapon.



Our parry dagger comes with a polished and fully sharpened blade. The included sheath, made of sturdy black leather, is decorated with a lip plate and a chape.

1055 carbon steel

The carbon content and relatively low levels of other materials in this steel make it a very stable material, free of the brittleness inherent in most high carbon steels. This steel is ideal for blades that need to have a high impact resistance and is therefore often used for large fixed knives, machetes and swords.
