Discus Dagger

As a model for Cold Steels® design, discus daggers ( rondel daggers ) were original medieval discus-pommeled daggers that were explicitly designed for combat use. This discus dagger variant was more of a specialized weapon than a multi-tool. It was designed for combat, designed to pierce tough mail and textiles and to pass through gaps in plate armor.

The long, straight blade of the Cold Steels® Discus Dagger is hollow and has three edges. It is incredibly rigid and tapers to an extremely sharp point. It has also been deeply blued, and its cutting edges have been hand-polished, giving the dagger a beautiful appearance. The turned Malaysian salwood handle is decorated with elaborate hand-carvings and has small brass pins, which are also decorative and provide extra grip. The elegant discs on the guard and pommel have been embellished with file work and offer excellent hand protection.

Thanks to its historically accurate, hand-stitched leather sheath with a blued steel mouthpiece and cap, the discus dagger can be attached to a belt or bandolier for comfortable carrying in a variety of ways.
