The old man had captivated the entire mead hall as he told the Elder Edda. Stories about Jörmungandr, the World Serpent, and all the other foul creatures of Jötunheimr. Outside, icy winds blew, people huddled on the long benches, and young men leaned forward to better contemplate the skald's gestures. He seemed to smile strangely as he took a sip from his drinking horn, placed it in the stand on the table, and told the story of Gunnlöð guarding Suttungr's mead. The Horn of Jörnmungandr is an essential drinking horn, ideal for characters in a Viking or Norse-inspired fantasy setting. It is essentially a carved water buffalo horn that has been polished and adorned with an ornamental representation of the Midgard Serpent, familiar from many Norse mythological tales. Each horn is unique in shape and color and holds approximately half a liter of mead, ale, or whatever else would be served at a grand banquet.
