A padded collar is almost essential for exhibition and wrestling. It was worn under plate and chain armor in the Middle Ages and increased the comfort of wearing the armor.

This Ulfberth collar is made of three layers of fabric: an outer layer of cotton fabric (canvas), a padded polyester layer, and a cotton inner lining. The padding is diamond-shaped, ensuring maximum comfort, as the collar remains quite flexible. The collar slips over the head and closes in the center front with a Nestlé lace band. The high collar greatly increases comfort when wearing armor or chain mail.
