The monolithic (= one-piece ) knives from cold steels® from the monolithic axe and tool® series are not cheap castings, but are made from 52100 carbon. drop-forged steel. For each model in the series, the solid steel body is expertly heat-treated from the tip of the sharp blade to the end of the powerful handle. For a comfortable and secure grip, each knife is ergonomically shaped and equipped with a deep recess in the handle section. Since these knives can be easily modified or customized, they are also perfect as "project knives". If desired, the handles can be retrofitted, filing and engraving work or other interesting modifications can be carried out for an individual design.

52100 carbon steel is a durable steel ideal for fixed hunting knives and other outdoor fixed blades. Knife makers often choose it to forge tough, low-wear blades that must withstand harsh conditions.
