This medieval stainless steel knife with a bone handle combines practicality with authentic historical style, inspired by the personal eating knives carried by men and women throughout the Middle Ages. Between the 13th and 15th centuries, these knives were essential everyday tools for meals, simple food preparation, and household chores.

The blade is forged from stainless steel and polished to a high shine, making it easy to clean and rust-resistant, unlike carbon steel versions of the past. It has a subtle taper and the rounded tip typical of medieval table cutlery.

The handle is made of genuine ox bone, molded and engraved with hand-cut diagonal lines that add grip and visual interest. Three brass rivets secure the scales to the full-tang blade, ensuring durability for years of use.

This piece stands out not only as a functional eating knife, but also as a striking display item for collectors, historic kitchens, themed restaurants, or medieval banquets. Whether placed alongside wooden trenchers and horn cups or used to serve cheese and bread, it adds a touch of living history to any occasion.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Hand wash only with mild soap and warm water
  • Dry thoroughly after each use to maintain the finish.
  • Do not immerse or put in the dishwasher.
  • Occasionally apply a food-safe mineral oil to the bone handle to maintain its softness.

USE:

  • Suitable for cold foods and light meal preparation
  • Ideal for decorating medieval and Renaissance tables
  • Display in a kitchen, on a historic dining table, or in a collection ⭐.
