Basically, this sword is a large knife. Unlike typical swords, this two-handed weapon is built like a knife, with a single-edged blade and a full-length tang with riveted scales for the handle. Bladed weapons, which first appeared in the late 1440s, were also used in other European countries and were given local or regional names. Examples have been discovered in the Netherlands and northern France, Iceland, Sweden and the Baltic States, in the Central European states of Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Romania, and in southern Germany, in Switzerland, Austria, Slovenia and northern Germany, and in the Balkan States.

The fuller is extra wide to lighten the blade. The handle has a wide, straight guard that widens slightly at the ends. To protect the hand, a nail protrudes perpendicular to the blade surface on the right side of the crossguard. The ebony-coloured wooden scales are fixed with robust rivets. The scope of delivery includes a high-quality genuine leather sheath with muzzle and mounting plate.



1065 carbon steel has a blackened finish that protects it from common rust stains caused by weather. The blade has a full tang and is hardened to a low 50 rc. This pre-sharpened blade has undergone rigorous testing. Handcrafted production by master blacksmiths makes this series unique.



Includes a certificate of authenticity signed by each blacksmith who worked the blade during each stage of the forging process.
