The Extrema Ratio Sethlans is a fixed-blade work knife suitable for a variety of uses, whether for survival, as a hunting knife, for preparation, but also as a backup blade.

Sethlans is available in two different versions with two different types of steel.

The stonewashed version is made from Böhler N690, which has been heat-treated to 58 HRC. Böhler N690 was chosen for its reliability, which it has proven over the past 20 years due to its rust resistance and edge durability.

The black version is made of D2 steel, heat- and cryogenically treated to 60 HRC, and is highly resharpenable, even with improvised tools. For greater hardness and durability, the blade is coated with the new Teflon-based EXP Dark product proposed by Extrema Ratio.

The knife comes with G10 handles that feature the ergonomic design characteristic of Extrema Ratio handles. They can be removed by loosening the knife's skeletal structure, allowing for maximum lightness with minimum thickness. For lovers of extreme customization, the full-tang construction allows the handle to be wrapped with paracord.

The sheath is a single piece, made from a very lightweight and minimalist Kydex sheath. It can be disassembled and adjusted for both right- and left-handed users. The addition of an optional belt clip allows the knife to be carried either vertically or horizontally, making the sheath significantly more versatile than the fabric version. It also comes with a mini MOLLE pouch, which contains a double-sided sharpening stone and a fire starter pick.
