The Extrema Ratio Sethlans is a fixed blade work knife suitable for a variety of applications, whether for survival, as a hunting knife, for preparation, but also as a backup blade.

Sethlans is available in two different versions with two different types of steel.

The stonewashed version is made from Böhler N690, which has been heat-treated to 58 HRC. Böhler N690 was chosen for its reliability, proven over the past 20 years thanks to its rust resistance and edge durability.

The black version is made of D2 steel. Made from heat- and cryogenically treated steel with a 60 HRC, it is highly resharpenable. It can also be sharpened with improvised tools. For greater hardness and durability, the blade is coated with the new Teflon-based EXP Dark product proposed by Extrema Ratio.

The knife is finished with G10. The handles feature Extrema Ratio's signature ergonomic design. These handles can be removed by loosening the knife's skeletal structure, allowing for maximum lightness with minimum thickness. For those who love extreme customization, the full-tang construction allows the handle to be wrapped with paracord.

The sheath is made from a single piece of lightweight, minimalist Kydex. It can be disassembled and adjusted for both right- and left-handed users. The addition of an optional belt clip allows the knife to be carried either vertically or horizontally, making the sheath significantly more versatile than the cloth version. It also comes with a mini MOLLE pouch containing a double-sided sharpening stone and a fire starter pick.
