The Schnitzel Tri is a successful all-purpose knife, but that wasn't enough for Schnitzel Germany! For especially active outdoor enthusiasts, we've decided to make the Tri even more durable, agile, and practical to further optimize your adventure.

It all starts with the choice of blade steel. Here, we've chosen CPM 3V from Crucible Industries LLC of the USA. This powder metallurgy tool steel (59-61 HRC) is known for being extremely tough, wear-resistant, and corrosion-resistant. It also has excellent edge retention, lasting a long time depending on use. However, 3V steel can certainly rust because it hasn't been optimized to resist corrosion. Therefore, you should take care of this knife to prevent corrosion, even though the chromium content is over 7%. If the knife dulls over time, we recommend sharpening it with diamond stones.

To give the Special Tri even more possible uses, the full-tang blade has a sharp-edged striking knob at the end, which can perform a variety of crafting tasks. A black paracord safety strap is attached to the striking knob's eye for added security while working and to prevent slipping. Another feature is the specially sharpened back of the blade, making generating sparks and starting a fire a breeze. The blade has been given a light stonewash finish to make it slightly less susceptible to scratching.

The Special Tri's handle features contoured scales made of dark green-brown micarta, which matches the steel. It has very robust properties, and the color harmonizes well with the stonewashed blade. The contour ensures a secure grip, a comfortable hand position, and makes this tri knife even more manageable compared to variants with G-10 handles.

The ultra-durable Kydex sheath with an ergonomic thumb ramp stays stable. It also received flame-resistant steel and a Kydex holster for the special edition. Like all current Tri knives, the knives have a hanging carry system, allowing the knife to be comfortably carried on a belt loop without being intrusive or bulky. Whether sitting or squatting, the Tri is always within reach.
