Delight in the Kimen Children's Outdoor Knife, Condor
Kimen children's outdoor knife, Condor
The Condor Kimen Knife , whose name derives from the Mapudungun indigenous language of South America and roughly translates as "teach, learn ," was developed by survival expert Walter A. Matthews and designed with the primary goal of introducing children to the basic principles of bushcraft and survival. For added safety, this fixed blade has a rounded blade tip and an ergonomically shaped handle. Additionally, the pronounced integrated hand guard prevents fingers from slipping on the razor-sharp edge during use.
Of course, this compact outdoor knife is also suitable for adults, for example, as a complementary work knife for all kinds of outdoor tasks, whether camping, hiking, or even in the home garden.
The full -tang knife has a sharp, drop-point blade with a nice belly. It's made from 1095 carbon steel (a tough steel with good sharpening power) and has a Scandi grind, which is quite popular among craftsmen because it's well-suited to woodworking and also allows for easy resharpening in the field. The surface of the blade still shows traces of forging, giving the knife a rustic look.
The walnut handles are attached to the blade tang with two brass rivets. The white linings create a beautiful, understated contrast with the darker wood tone of the bowls. At the end of the handle, there is a generous hole with an inserted brass sleeve to accommodate a lanyard.
Included in the scope of delivery is a beautiful, handmade sheath made of durable leather with a belt loop (maximum belt width approx. 4.5 cm).

Please note:
Wood is a natural product, so no two handles on this knife are the same. Color and/or grain variations are quite common, and the images above are for illustrative purposes only.
The steel used is also non-rusting and may show slight signs of corrosion. We recommend regular maintenance of the blade, for example with Ballistol, a universal oil ideal for preserving steel products.
