Cold Steels® AK-47® folding knife series has set the standard for heavy-duty tactical pocket knives. These rugged pocket knives are very popular with military personnel and special forces and have already been used in various crisis zones around the world. As Cold Steel® began working on a new, multi-purpose, military-grade fixed-blade field knife, they returned again and again to the AK-47®.

The AK-47® Feldsman was designed by Andrew Demko and is incredibly stable. It has been expertly crafted from CPM 3V carbon steel and has a stonewashed finish from the tip of its powerful saber-cut clip-point blade, all the way down the tang to the pommel. The result is an incredibly durable surface.

2019 model - the ak-47® field knife with stonewashed finish replaces the previous cst-14akvg, dlc-coated model, which is no longer in production.

The AK-47® comes with a versatile Secure-Ex® holster and is the ideal companion for today's military personnel.

Cpm 3v steel

Blades made from American CPM 3V steel can be given extremely fine edges that are also highly resistant to chipping. Despite its considerable price, this steel has enjoyed increasing popularity among knife makers in recent years. This modern tool steel is surprisingly hard and extremely wear-resistant. It is a fine-grained powder steel. With its very uniform microstructure, it offers first-class impact resistance and excellent edge retention even with very fine cutting edges. It is a perfect steel for larger blades where extreme durability is required.
