The swords, sabers, cutlasses, and knives in the 1917 series recall the adventurous spirit of yesteryear, whether in the Wild West or on the world's oceans. They are suitable for historical reenactment groups from the 1830s onward (cowboy action shooters, American Civil War and naval battle reenactors) and even modern military groups.

The 1917 Frontier Bowie has a wide, sharp blade with a generous clip point and impressive fuller. Blueing gives the 1085 carbon steel blade, which has been tempered to spring hardness, a beautiful sheen. The Frontier Bowie knife's large S-shaped guard provides excellent hand protection, while the slim, low-profile handle with a modified pistol grip shape ensures proper edge alignment by preventing the knife from spinning in the hand.

A high-quality leather sheath with a blued steel muzzle plate and cap is included. The leather swivel loop is wide enough to accommodate even a thick military belt. It's also completely removable if you want to store the knife directly on your belt for a more traditional carry.
