Create your own safari version from the Swedish manufacturer Casström. This compact, full-tang blade was developed for versatile hunting use, but is also ideal for other purposes, such as bushcraft.

The Safari knife from Swedish manufacturer Cassström is a small but powerful knife. It was designed by Alan Wood, a renowned English custom knife maker known for his handcrafted hunting and stalking knives. Alan has been a professional knife maker since 1985 and has become Britain's most imitated craftsman for his designs that are both practical and visually appealing. He is also known for his collaboration with survivalist Ray Mears.

The compact full tang has an approximately 6 cm long blade made of Swedish 12c27 stainless steel (59 hrc) with a hollow grind and the so-called tapered tang (the continuous tang tapers towards the end of the handle).

The combination of thoughtful design and selected materials results in a beautiful and highly durable piece of equipment, ideal as a skinner for small game or as a small belt knife for safari hunters.

Steel information: Sandvik 12C27 is a very popular stainless steel used in Scandinavian knife production. Its composition results in a combination of excellent properties in terms of edge retention (stability, sharpness, and sharpness), hardness, and corrosion resistance. Blades made of this steel are easy to resharpen and also offer good edge resistance to breakage, chipping, and folded edges (so-called edge folding or edge rolling).
