This spring steel chain guard , with an internal diameter of 8 mm , is designed to offer authentic protection , inspired by the medieval mail worn by soldiers of the 13th and 14th centuries.

Made from heavy-duty spring steel , this 4-in-1 mesh hood (butted tensile wire braid) fits snugly over the shoulders, providing coverage without compromising mobility. It has not been treated, so it retains its oiled and distressed finish , giving it a raw, realistic look , ideal for both reenactors and beginners of historical combat.

It is recommended to wear a padded cap under the hood for added comfort and protection.
