Cutlery W. Leather hanger

Description

It's been a long day hiking in the countryside, and you're starving. You and your group finally get ready to camp and start dinner. It's your favorite part of the trip: eating warm food around a warm fire surrounded by friends!

While the rations are being passed around, you remove your cutlery from your belt. You'll always be prepared for a meal, with your fork and knife ready.

DETAILS

Epic Armoury's Leather Hanger Cutlery is a set of eating utensils, including a knife, spoon, and two-pronged fork. Made from rough, blackened steel, each handle is uniquely forged near the head and end to give it character and a superior grip.

These cutlery sets are safe to use and perfect when you want to maintain your immersion. This set includes a handy leather pouch made of premium leather, stitched around the edges to prevent warping with overuse. Keep your cutlery secure by securing the pouch's chain hook through a leather loop, keeping the lid closed. Attach the pouch to your belt, sash, or purse for easy use.

Available in brown and black leather.

HISTORY

  • A person who practices the craft of creating cutlery is called a cutler.
  • The word cutler is derived from the Middle English word "cuteler," which comes from the Old French word "coutelier" (meaning "knife").
  • Tableware sets have been called cutlery since the 13th century.
  • Steel and pewter have always been popular materials for knives and spoons.

    • Rolled edges without edge edges
    • Belts and accessories made of premium leather
    • Hand-welded parts for maximum durability
    • Polished steel finish

    Maintenance

Epic Armory Metal Works products should still be treated with oil and kept in dry storage. All of our metal armor contains leather parts that require regular maintenance using leather care products to prevent the leather from drying out.

    Cleaning

If your armor gets wet, it is important to dry it completely as soon as possible.

After handling, use, or after six months of storage or display, all metal should be wiped clean with a clean cloth. Lightly oil the cleaned surface with a quality machine or mineral oil. Alternatively, you can apply a coat of wax to the entire surface of the exposed metal. Let the wax dry for a couple of hours, then lightly buff it with a soft cloth.

    Prevention and elimination of rust

Store your armor in a dry place and check it every two months for signs of rust. If you find any, remove it by gently rubbing the affected area with a mildly abrasive pad moistened with paste wax, oil, or water-displacing fluid.

    Leather belts and accessories

Clean by removing dirt with a stiff brush, then gently scrub with leather soap and a clean, damp cloth until the leather appears clean. Remove the soap with a separate damp cloth to clean any soap residue, and then use a dry cloth to wipe away any remaining water from the leather.

You should always condition leather after cleaning it, as the soap will have removed some of its natural oils. Treat the leather with mink oil, olive oil, or beeswax using a clean cloth, gently rubbing a small amount of oil or wax into the leather in circles. Allow the leather to soak in the oil before wiping it with a final clean cloth to remove excess residue.
