Delight in Craticula, a hand-forged Roman kitchen structure.
Roman cooking grate or grid (craticula)
Faithful replica of a late Roman grill or cooking grate ( craticula ) originally from the city of Callevaatrebatum in the Roman province of Great Britain, today Silchester, England.
The round opening in the centre offers space for a frying pan ( patera ) or a pot ( situla ). All connections are hand-riveted.
Although this stove is clearly Roman, it is also suitable for medieval representations, as the shape and construction have hardly changed over the ages.
