This chain link consists of unriveted round rings. The surface of the rings is blackened (burnished) and thus offers a certain level of protection against corrosion.
We call this type of braid bmsb (from English b reinforced blackened mild steel ).
Haubergeon means that it is a half-sleeved chainmail shirt that reaches approximately to the thigh.
