A haubergeon (small chainmail) is a half- to short-sleeved chainmail shirt that reaches approximately thigh-length.

RRZ chainmail is made of galvanized steel round rings. Each ring is riveted with round rivets. The braiding method is 4-in-1.

Unlike untreated chain mail, galvanized metal offers fairly good protection against corrosion. The shine of zinc fades over time, and the surface becomes dull gray.
