Haubergeon means that it is a chain mail shirt with a short to medium sleeve, reaching just to the thigh.

FRR chain link: is a European chain link, consisting of flat rings all around. All rings are closed by round rivets with round rivet heads. The braid is 4 in 1. We call this type of braid FRR (English = F flat ring r round rivet heads).
