Haubergeon means that it is a short or medium sleeved chainmail shirt that reaches just to the thigh.



The chain mesh frr:

It is a European chain link, consisting of flat rings throughout. All rings are closed by round rivets with round rivet heads. The braid is 4 in 1.

We call this type of braid frr (English = f flat ring r round rivet heads).
