This high-quality, hand-knotted chainmail coat is a so-called hauberk. This means that it is a long-sleeved, knee-length chainmail shirt. Such a powerful chainmail coat covered most of the body. This historically authentic cut was often widened with front or side slits to give the wearer greater legroom. This means that these long chainmail coats could be worn comfortably even by horsemen.

Our hauberk is generally unslotted, so the customer can position it individually if necessary. In addition, it has tapered sleeves that taper around a ring approximately every 5 cm.

The chain mail rm is made of rings with a diameter of only 6 mm. According to the original templates, it consists of a row of riveted rings (round rivet heads) and a row of perforated rings. Due to the extremely small diameter of the rings, these chain mails could then and now be made of steel with a material thickness of only 1 mm without losing their strength. This results in a weight reduction of about 30 - 35%. We abbreviate this type of braid rm (english = roman maille ) because it was already very popular among the Celts and Romans (hamata). This ring armour braid was in use until the late Middle Ages.

Available in three sizes (M, L, and XL).

The dimensions of the individual sizes are measured fully stretched.
